Class Descriptions

Body Sculpt: Want to slim down and tone your body?  This is the class for you!  Class format incorporates toning exercises with bouts of cardio to lean you out and sculpt your muscles.  All levels are welcome!

Boomers: Designed for exercises looking for gentle workouts using light weights and bands with bouts of cardio.

Bosu Core: Want flat and toned abs?  This will help you achieve that.  This class will focus on your "powerhouse."  The bosu trainer is used to effectively strengthen the core muscles.

Cardio/Flex: Want a class with everything?  Here you go!!  This interval class alternates cardio and strength segments, utilizing hand weights, bands, balls, Bosu, and more.  Cardio ranges from kickboxing to sports conditioning.  Class concludes with abdominal work and stretching.  All levels!

Gentle Yoga:  A basic yoga class for any level incorporates vinyasa flows and lots of stretrching with the use of props as an option.

Interval Step: Cardio step class mixed with intervals of strength training using dumb bells and/or barbell weights.  Be prepared to work!  All levels!

Latin Funk: If you are looking for a class that will burn calories with the ultimate variety of dance styles, then look no more.  Latin funk not only includes hip hop, salsa, meringue, and tease, but also gives you the party atmosphere that keeps you coming back for more.

Lower Body Blast: This class is all about toning your bootie and legs!  Guaranteed to get you in your "skinny jeans" or ready for your swim suit.  Lifted and tight bootie, slimmer thighs--need we say more?  Come and check it out!

Leg & Ab Express: Tone your legs and abs in a half hour class using a variety of different exercises such as crunches, planks, lunges, and squats.  If you need a quick and effective workout for your legs and core, this class is for you!

PiYo: Designed to build strength and gain flexibility.  The moves fit perfectly together to make a class filled with intense choreography, that's fun, challenging, and will make you sweat!  It's about energy, power, and rhythm.  Think sculpted abdominals, increased overall core strength, and greater stability.  In a nutshell, PiYo will rock your world!

Power Yoga: An active form of vinyasa yoga, linking the breath to the asanas (postures) and creating internal heat to stimulate the internal organs.  The main focus in on building strength, as well as flexibility.  An intermediate practice, but with modifications given without.

Prime Cuts: Want a chiseled, lean body?  Then this class is for you!  This group strength training class focuses on muscle development using barbell and dumbbell weights.  It's the perfect compliment to your cardio routine.  Full body, all levels.

Q Bo: Cardio kickboxing class taught by Tae Kwon Do and self defense master, Mr. Q.  This class will improve your cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, build muscle, and improve your overall confidence.  Equipment used.

S.E.T. (Strength Endurance Training): Intervals of cardio/strength using the step along with free weights, to build muscle tone and definition.  Class is taught with times intervals and specific exercise to achieve maximum results.

Spin and Tone: Bring your outdoor ride to the indoors.  This group indoor stationary bike class focuses on safe and effective cardio/endurance training.  Our 2006 IC Evolution Schwinn bikes provide the best indoor ride you will find. All levels.  (Please arrive early for proper bike fitting)

Step: Traditional step class using basic patterns, fun choreography with the step suitable for all levels. 

Total Body Conditioning: Boot Camp inspired, this intense class provides intervals of cardio and muscle conditioning drills to provide you with the ultimate, full body workout.  It is perfect for improving endurance, cardiovascular fitness, and muscular strength, all while having fun!  Variety of equipment used.

Turbo Kick: It's kickboxing and so much more!  You'll kick, punch, and groove the calories away in this action-packed, super fun, super safe and effective cardiovascular exercise.  No equipment used.  Music is HOT!!!  All levels.

Traditional Yoga: This class focuses on flexibility, balance, strength, and posture.  Great class to relieve stress, clear the mind, and regroup.  Connect with your body and mind.  Sticky/Yoga mat and bare feet recommended.  All levels unless noted.

Yoga for Relaxation:  Wind down from a busy, stressful day.  The main focus is on increasing flexibility and relaxation.  Learn the practice of Yoga Nidra (yoga sleep) to release resistance and tension.  Appropriate for all levels. 

Zumba: The world wide format is a fusion of Latin and internationally inspired music and dance moves creating an exciting and effective aerobic/fitness workout.  Whether you know how to dance or not, Zumba will make your body move to the beat, sweat your cares away, and keep you coming back for more!!  All levels.

Specialty Class Descriptions

Boot Camp: Boot Camp workouts are efficient because you work your entire body--heart and muscles--by going from one exercise to another with no rest.  The workouts involve calisthenics like pushups, jumping jacks, crunches, squats, creative rope drills, aqua pipes, and other body weight exercises...the difference lies in the intensity.  In Boot Camp, your challenge is to take your body to it's limit.  You work, you sweat, and best of all you burn calories like crazy!  COME ON NOW!!!
